Viennese Markets

Currently there are 27 markets in the traditional sense, that means selling mainly foodstuffs. Five of these markets are temporary markets and are not held from Monday to Saturday but on special days of the week only. Three of the markets in the Vienna city centre are not held throughout the year. They sell mainly arts, crafts and antiques but also food. The flea market next to Naschmarkt takes place every Saturday throughout the year. The Market Authority - Municipal Department 59 manages the city's markets, monitors compliance with food regulations, and carries out inspections in the area of consumer protection.

Special Occasions Markets are events similar to markets that are held on special occasions.
