Reserving a date
If you want to get married or enter into a civil partnership at a dream wedding venue, you need to reserve a date and time in advance.

- Times for dream weddings:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 4 pm and 6 pm
- Saturday at 10 am, 12 noon and 2 pm
- No wedding ceremonies on public holidays, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve
How far in advance can I reserve a date?
Reservations for the entire following calendar year can be made from the first working day of May. You can therefore reserve your wedding date with "Dream Weddings in Vienna" Division by phone or e-mail more than six months in advance. Online bookings via the Vienna Register Offices' reservation platform are not available.
Reserving a venue
Once you have reserved a date and time, you should contact the operator of your dream wedding venue to make a reservation.
Registering to get married
Once you have reserved a wedding date and venue, you can register to get married or enter into a civil partnership six months beforehand at the earliest. When you register to get married or enter into a civil partnership, it will be checked if both partners meet all legal requirements to get married.

Fees
Legal fees for a dream wedding are usually around 500 to 650 euro depending on the number of documents that need to be processed. These fees do not include the costs for a dream wedding venue. Please contact the operator of your dream wedding venue directly to find out the exact costs.
Please note: From 1 September 2026, the fees will increase from 395 euro (excluding additional fees for further documents attached) as follows:
- Monday to Friday: 670 euro (excluding additional fees for further documents attached)
- Saturday: 995 euro (excluding additional fees for further documents attached)
Couples not resident in Austria
If you do not have a residence in Austria, please contact "Tourist Weddings" Division (Touristenhochzeiten) by e-mail: touristenhochzeit@ma63.wien.gv.at. Your e-mail should include the following information for both partners:
- full names
- preferred ceremony date
- country of birth
- nationality
- residential address
- marital status
