General requirements

Self-employed or employed members of staff

  • Is it true that the professional or other activity and/or travelling to or from the workplace cannot be accomplished without a motor vehicle?
  • At what time is work started and/or ended?
  • Is there a third-party commitment - for example within a collective agreement - to ensure and provide transportation to and from the workplace?
  • On which days and at which daytimes is there a requirement for parking beyond the maximum admissible parking duration in the short-term parking zone?

Companies

  • Is the motor vehicle in question a company-registered vehicle?
  • Is it possible to furnish proof (invoices, packing lists, service contracts, log books, et cetera) that the vehicle in question is required several times a day for comprehensive goods transport?
  • Is the vehicle in question used several times a day for goods transport in the exercise of business activities, or for the transport of tools and machinery in the exercise of service delivery?
  • Is there a privately owned or company owned parking lot (garage, courtyard, et cetera) provided at the company’s site or at the job site?
  • On which days and at which daytimes is there a requirement for parking beyond the maximum admissible parking duration in the short-term parking zone?
  • Company size: size of workshops, storage facilities, other?
  • Hours of operation?

Fees

  • Federal fee:
    • EUR 14.30 for application and EUR 3.90 for each related enclosure
  • Administrative fee:
    • EUR 44.69
  • Parking fee:
    • Depending on the validity period (no less than 3 months; calendar months already started are charged in full) Districts 1 to 9 and 20 th district: EUR 120 (1 year) or EUR 240 (2 years) 15th district: EUR 60.60 (1 year) or EUR 121.20 (2 years)
      • for companies with more than one vehicle: EUR 249 (1 year) or EUR 498 (2 years) per additional vehicle
    • 6 pm to 10 pm in districts 1 to 9 and 20, depending on the duration of the permit pursuant to Art. 45 (4a) Austrian Federal Road Traffic Act: EUR 60.60 (1 year) or EUR 121.20 (2 years)
      • for companies with more than one vehicle: EUR 138 (1 year) or EUR 276 (2 years) per additional vehicle
    • 6 pm to 11 pm in districts 15 and 16, depending on the duration of the permit pursuant to Art. 45 (4a) Austrian Federal Road Traffic Act: EUR 60.60 (1 year) or EUR 121.20 (2 years)
      • for companies with more than one vehicle: EUR 138 (1 year) or EUR 276 (2 years) per additional vehicle
    • for districts 1 to 9, 15, 16 and 20, depending on the duration of the permit pursuant to Art. 45 (2) and (4a) Austrian Federal Road Traffic Act: EUR 60.60 (1 year) or EUR 121.20 (2 years)

If you return your parking permit prior to the expiration of its validity, the parking fee not yet consumed (accounted for in full months) will be refunded.

A cashier for cash payment and one for auto teller payment is provided in the customer service centre.

Deadline

Upon presentation of the required documents, a Certificate of Exemption will be issued under the respective vehicle licence number for a maximum period of two years.

Please note

In case of telephone enquiries, please provide your case reference number. In written communication and documents presented or required later on, please include the reference "Referat Parkraumbewirtschaftung".
The public authority is required by law to subject all the information provided to stringent examination. The type of fee payment (parking vouchers or flat-rate fee) will be decided in a concurrent ascertainment procedure.
