Integration in Vienna – Where to get advice

There are several advisory centres for new migrants who need advice or information about residence issues, (re-)entering work, access to further education or a place for their child(-ren) at kindergarten, for example.

Residence and working in Vienna

Do you have any legal questions regarding residence permits, citizenship and working in Austria? Contact the advisory centre for migrants (Beratungszentrum für Migranten und Migrantinnen ).

Helping Hands provides information regarding residence permits, employment of foreign nationals, asylum law and all issues regarding discrimination.

The association for Austrian-Turkish friendship (Verein für österreichisch türkische Freundschaft) provides new migrants with information about residence permit regulations, insurance such as health, accident or unemployment insurance, the Austrian pension system, basic benefit (Mindestsicherung), attendance allowance (Pflegegeld) and questions regarding the tax office.

Neighbourhood and district
