15th Global Peter Drucker Forum in Vienna

This year's conference focussed on exploring ways to promote creative resilience.

It highlighted how this can contribute to responding to crises and disruptions with innovative and unexpected ideas. Practical examples sparked a dynamic dialogue that illustrated how organisations and societies can become more resilient through creative approaches. Journalists from countries with International Offices of the City of Vienna were also present at the Vienna Hofburg.

The 15th edition of the international conference, which took place from 30 November to 1 December 2023, was dedicated to the topic of "Creative Resilience - Leading in an age of discontinuity". In times when resilience is becoming increasingly important, this year's Peter Drucker Forum focused on the past three years, shaped by the pandemic and its economic consequences. In this context, resilience is understood as the ability to stand one's ground in a constantly changing reality. The challenge is to emerge from setbacks stronger, with a new understanding of societies and markets and the ability to overcome future difficulties. The clear message is that a well-managed organisation can overcome serious setbacks and still move forward.

This year's conference therefore explored what it means to develop creative resilience as a skill. It focussed on all levels of the organisation and the entire ecosystem of suppliers, customers and other stakeholders. Practical examples and research findings from various disciplines sparked an inspiring dialogue among those present at the Vienna Hofburg.
