The Mayor of the City of Brno, Markéta Vankova, visited Mayor Michael Ludwig in Vienna City Hall on 20 October 2023. Topics discussed included energy supply and mobility.

A reception was held at the Embassy of the Czech Republic on the occasion of the Czech Statehood Day. It was attended by the President of the Vienna Provincial Parliament Ernst Woller, the State Secretary Susanne Kraus-Winkler, members of the Czech Senate and the Mayor of Olomouc Miroslav Žbánek. Olomouc will host an "Austrian Year" in 2024.

Ernst Woller, President of the Vienna Provincial Parliament, spoke about the excellent cooperation with the Czech Republic, in particular with Brno, Prague and Olomouc. He referred to the 150^th anniversary of the Komensky School, with Czech and Slovak as teaching languages, and spoke about the close relations that have grown over many years.
