This year's event was marked by the relaunch of the City of Vienna International Offices under the motto "Restart 2023". The guests looked forward to the redesign of the Vienna offices and were happy about the continuation of the rewarding and productive cooperation.

In the pleasant setting of the N.EON gallery, the new image of Vienna's International Offices was presented. Almost 30 years after the opening, the City of Vienna International Office in Belgrade was rebranded and can be now clearly identified with Vienna. The connection to the City of Vienna is emphasised even more. Vienna wants to consolidate and further expand the existing city partnerships. In discussions with the guests, the decision to change the name met with the highest approval.

Successful restart

The participants wanted to know whether organisational or other changes are to be expected after the name change. In a short speech, the head of the International Office in Belgrade welcomed the attendees and presented the most important innovations for the Restart 2023. Among other things, the past decades and the successful projects that shaped the work of the International Office in Belgrade were discussed. The guests were called upon to approach the Office with new ideas and cooperation proposals and to take advantage of the fact that the City of Vienna functions as a hub in the heart of Europe and is open not only for bilateral but also for multilateral exchange and projects.

Acknowledgement of the Member of the City Council

Belgrade's Member of the City Council Jovan Jokic expressed his gratitude for the good cooperation with the City of Vienna and the International Office and once again emphasised the impeccable organisation of the recently concluded European City Conference on the topic of "The City as an Employer". In this sense, the City of Belgrade intends to further strengthen the cooperation with the City of Vienna and would be happy to participate in such an exchange of experiences and opinions in the future. Likewise, talks on the extension of the five-year city cooperation agreement between Vienna and Belgrade, which was concluded in October 2019, should start at the beginning of 2024 at the latest.

The Austrian embassy envoy Karin Traunmüller, the trade commissioner Jürgen Schreder and the head of international cooperation of the city of Belgrade, Snežana Lazarevic, attended the event, which lasted about two and a half hours.
