Vienna City Welcome - Tour of the City Hall

The Vienna City Welcome includes a tour of the City Hall and lectures about medical services in Vienna, environmental issues, internet services of the City of Vienna and the Expat Center of the Vienna Business Agency. After the lectures refreshments are served and you get the chance to meet.

Fire brigade (Feuerwehr)

We will visit the fire station in the 1st district and learn more about how the Vienna fire brigade works.

Public transport (Wiener Linien)

Our visit to the information centre of Vienna Public Transport will familiarise us with the public transport network in Vienna. We will also learn more about the different kinds of tickets and which ones to buy for different purposes.

Ambulance services (Wiener Berufsrettung)

On this visit to the headquarters of the Vienna Ambulance Service in the 3rd district we will see the ambulance fleet and the training facilities. We will also be given a tour of the fascinating dispatch centre, from where the routes of the ambulances are coordinated.

Medical emergencies/hospital (Klinik Donaustadt)

During our visit to the Klinik Donaustadt in the 22nd district we will learn more about admission and procedures in hospitals in Vienna - information that can also be useful in the event of a medical emergency.

Guided tour "Vienna's History in a nutshell" (Wien Museum)

A Roman city. A medieval trade hub. A splendid Baroque city and official residence of the Habsburg monarchy. An early 20th century center of modern art: Vienna's history spans over 2000 years.

Throughout the centuries major projects such as defensive walls, canals, and water pipes repeatedly revolutionized life in the city.
