German language and basic education courses - Information for course providers

German language courses

German language courses that are funded by Municipal Department 17 - Integration and Diversity (MA 17) are subject to strict quality standards. All teachers have to adhere to the curriculum "German as a second language and literacy classes".

Basic education

Course providers of subsidised courses have to adhere to strict quality standards. They have to get an accreditation from the Level Up - Adult Education (Level Up - Erwachsenenbildung).

All basic education courses are funded by Municipal Department 17 - Integration and Diversity (MA 17), the Austrian Federal Ministry for Women, Science and Research and the European Social Fund in the framework of the Level Up - Adult Education by the federal government and the provinces.

For teachers

If you want to work as a teacher for such courses you need further training in "teaching basic education" and have to work for an accredited course provider.
