How and where does WiFi work?

All you need to access the service is a WiFi-enabled device like most notebook computers, smartphones or tablets. Fast, wireless internet access is possible within about 50 metres of the Access Point. Public and a variety of private hotspots are indicated in the Vienna city map below. The detailed terms of use are available from the provider of the respective WiFi service.

StadtWien-PublicWLAN is the City of Vienna’s WiFi hotspot and location-based information system. Access Points (i.e. WiFi transmitting stations) are located in numerous public places throughout the city

What are Multimedia Stations?

Multimedia Stations are former phone booths that have been equipped with internet access terminals. They provide free-of-charge access to public administration web pages (i.e. websites with domain names ending in .gv.)
