Vienna in Figures - Statistics

The City of Vienna has compiled the annual booklet "Vienna in Figures" for nearly 30 years. Then as now, it is meant to provide interested readers with an overview of key statistics on Vienna.

A brief look at the first issue published in 1991 shows quite impressively how much Vienna has changed since then. It has developed from a shrinking city on the fringes of Western Europe into a vibrant EU metropolis at the heart of the continent. The Viennese have passed this test with flying colours, and today Vienna is internationally renowned for its outstanding quality of life.
