Festival stage

Thursday, 18 September: W24 presents young Viennese Music

On the opening day, 18 September, the city broadcaster W24 presents young, up-and-coming artists from the fields of indie and pop on this stage. The audience can look forward to fresh sounds and new faces that reflect the pulse of the city. W24 accompanies the day not only on site, but also on television, bringing the festival into Viennese living rooms with a live broadcast.

Friday, 19 September: New Viennese Music

On Friday, 19 September, the focus is on “New Viennese Music.” Local acts and promising newcomers showcase just how diverse and innovative Vienna’s music scene is today. From experimental singer-songwriters to urban beats, a panorama emerges that celebrates Vienna’s vibrant and flourishing music culture.

Saturday, 20 September: Austropop, Falco & Friends

Saturday is dedicated to Austropop. In the evening, the Original Falco Band invites well-known guests to pay tribute to perhaps the greatest pop star in Austrian music history. During the day, the festival stage will host a celebration of Austropop, featuring famous names that add extra excitement.

Sunday, 21 September: Strauss – Classical and Modern Interpretations

On Sunday, the final day, the festival ends in a cheerful and elegant atmosphere. During the day, variations on Strauss are performed in different arrangements, from chamber ensembles to full orchestras, in honor of the Waltz King. The afternoon is all about the waltz: “Alles Walzer!” invites visitors to take to the dance floor themselves. The highlight is a joint quadrille on Rathausplatz – a festive finale that brings Vienna’s ball tradition into the public space.

Wienerlied stage

In addition to the large festival stage in front of City Hall, there is, for the first time, another smaller stage in Rathauspark, which is in no way inferior to the main one. On the Wienerlied Stage, traditional Viennese songs and Heurigen music will be presented in a more intimate setting. Under the park’s shady trees, a musical meeting place is created that invites visitors to linger and authentically experience Viennese lifestyle.
