When the chandelier (“Luster”) drops to the ground (“Boden”), Lusterboden strike up their “Wienerlied” sound. Young Viennese natives Florian Klingler and Merlin Miglinci draw inspiration from performers Kreisler, Danzer, Qualtinger and the Schrammelmusik genre to find their own musical path. Their stories unfold at wine taverns, the theatre, a coffee house or simply bang in the middle of the city – with humour, playfulness and always tongue-in-cheek. With a mix of traditional Wienerlied style and jazz influences, Lusterboden’s songs tell stories about what they experience and see as young Viennese locals – bringing new shine to the Viennese soul.
