Working Together for the Future

Forewords and Mission Statement

The circular economy and saving resources are investments in the future and, like many other environmental issues, are a major concern for children and young people. Our strategy to save resources in our city sets out the levers and intervention points in our key fields of action that we must address in order to meet our responsibility for a liveable environment.

Our education system is an important field of action: from kindergartens and schools to adult education. Our scope for action ranges from integrating sustainability into curricula to operating our institutions in a sustainable manner. Avoiding waste protects the environment and will help us achieve the high standards we set for care and education in a cost-efficient way.

Of course, the circular economy also concerns the business sector - and therefore all companies operating in Vienna. Together with them, we must bring the circular economy to life and make it a success.
