Vienna shares know-how on water resource management

The EU LIFE+ Alte Donau project was the topic of the 13th Vienna Dialogue Forum.

A large number of delegates from cities in Eastern Europe came to Vienna at the invitation of Mayor Michael Häupl for the 13th Vienna Dialogue Forum on 16 to18 June 2015. The guests were local politicians and civil servants representing the cities of Brno, Budapest, Krakow, Ljubljana and Prague.

The EU LIFE+ Alte Donau project was the subject of the 2015 Dialogue Forum. The two-day conference focused on the ecological, operational and hydraulic engineering measures developed under the project to safeguard the long-term quality of the Alte Donau.

Viennese expertise in demand

The Vienna Dialogue Forum, which attracts a large number of delegates from Central and Eastern European capitals, is a semi-annual knowledge platform hosted by the Executive Group for European and International Affairs (MD-EUI) and organised by the representative offices of the City of Vienna. The Forum is primarily designed to facilitate know-how transfer among the cities.
