For more than 2 decades, the City of Vienna has pursued gender equality with consistency, commitment, and success. Under the guiding theme “Celebrating Achievements, Shaping the Future”, this anniversary conference at Vienna City Hall will reflect on the long-standing and impactful implementation of Gender Mainstreaming and Gender Budgeting in Austria’s capital.
At the same time, the event will provide an opportunity to look ahead: Which challenges will shape the years to come? What approaches are needed to further advance gender equality in a rapidly changing European context?
