Regional service points

• Information on childbirth and related questions:
  • eight parent-and-child centres
  • 34 parent counselling offices
• Education, family crises:
  • 18 regional offices for social work with families,
  • five socio-educational regions (running community housing facilities, homes and crisis intervention centres, negotiating and arranging placement), region for young women, region for young men
  • 13 crisis intervention centres, service points providing intensive care and counselling
  • Legal representation of children, child support (maintenance) proceedings: nine regional offices providing legal assistance
• Partnership, family, marriage, divorce:
  • four counselling offices on marriage and family issues, family planning office
  • four family counselling offices in cooperation with "Verein Familie und Beratung" (Association for Family and Counselling)
• Recreational activities for children and young people: Organised in cooperation with "Verein Wiener Jugenderholung" (Association for Youth Recreation in Vienna)

Cooperation with other Municipal Departments and independent service providers

The Vienna Youth and Family Offices cooperate closely with Municipal Department 10 - Vienna Children's Daycare Centres and Municipal Department 13 - Education, Out-of-School Activities for Children and Young People as well as with the Vienna Hospital Association (German).

The Vienna Youth and Family Offices also work together with independent service providers by promoting independent organisations or subcontracting services.
