Start Wien - start coaching for new migrants in Vienna

Since 1 October 2008 Municipal Department 17 - Integration and Diversity (MA 17) has been providing all new migrants from third countries who have come to Vienna for family reunification with an Austrian citizen or a third-country national with a start coaching session.

• Vienna education booklet with Vienna language vouchers
• Vienna education booklet with document folder and city map information about information modules in several languages and on various topics Information modules are held once a month in several languages. New migrants and anyone who is interested in the topics is welcome to attend the information modules.

Start coaching

Every new migrant who has received the first-time permission to stay in Austria from Municipal Department 35 - Immigration, Citizenship, Registry Offices (MA 35) is welcome to attend a start coaching session where an employee of Municipal Department 17 - Integration and Diversity will provide you with individual information. Start coaching is available in 15 languages. You can also make a separate start coaching appointment by telephone.

Start coaching provides new migrants with information about rights and duties and the next steps to be taken to get a head start in Vienna. You will also receive information about the German language course which best meets your needs.
