Funding in 2012 - Focus on the principles of living together

In 2012 Municipal Department 17 - Integration and Diversity (MA 17) invites associations and initiatives to develop and submit projects and ideas regarding the "principles of living together".

The term "principles of living together" refers to any activating and supporting measures that deal with fundamental rights and the principles of democracy such as

• Political education, e.g. political systems and structures, overview of political parties and their programmes in Austria
• Human rights, women’s rights, children’s rights
• Anti-racism and anti-discrimination laws
• Moral courage

Further training and education

The projects should consist of comprehensive further training and education measures on the above mentioned topics, for example:

• Series of workshops, courses and/or other further training measures
• Supporting measures for multipliers as disseminators of important information
• Mentoring programmes (e.g. politicians, shop stewards)
• Support and empowerment for migrants who wish to be politically active
• Measures to raise public awareness and promote moral courage
• Discussion forums
