The office of the provincial government of Vienna (Municipal Department for Immigration, Citizenship and Registry Offices - MA 35) is your competent authority,

• if you have your main residence in Vienna or
• if you have your main residence abroad and were born either abroad or in Vienna. For persons born on or after July 1, 1966 their mother’s residence at the time of birth (not the place of birth) is of relevance.
