Margareten Business Platform

The Margareten Business Platform is a service designed for the businesses of Vienna's 5^th district (Margareten) and for all people in Vienna. Businesses may register in a database free of charge with this, the biggest business portal for the Margareten district. People will then be able to find the business' services and offers more easily. The Margareten Business Platform also provides an overview of available premises, offices and other commercial areas in Vienna's 5^th district.

"Every business established in the 5^th district makes me happy and receives my full support. Businesses create jobs, ensure local supply and contribute greatly to a positive development of the district", says Kurt Wimmer, head of the 5^th district. In order to support the local economy, the district authority has set up two databases with the Margareten Business Platform.

Business database

All 5^th district business entities may have themselves entered in the business database (German) free of charge after a brief registration. You can edit your profile at any time with the password you receive upon registration (German). All customers searching for a specific type of service will then be able to find you and contact you more easily.

Database for vacant premises

Via the database for vacant premises (German), available commercial premises in Margareten (e.g. offices, shops, warehouses and storage areas, as well as office space in office partnerships or group practices) can be offered for rent or sale after a brief registration (German). Companies or traders looking for vacant premises, offices or the like are able to find the property they want quickly and easily from those on offer.

Margareten is pro-business in every respect

Margareten offers many advantages for businesses. The district is close to the city centre, which can be reached in only a few minutes. Surrounded by the new Vienna Central Station, the world famous Schönbrunn Palace, the Naschmarkt food market (Vienna's biggest inner-city market, much loved for its international atmosphere) and the central Vienna Opera House, Margareten is very well positioned in the heart of Vienna. Yet, despite its central location, the former manufacturers' and blue-collar district is still known for its affordable rents, which makes it an attractive location for creative businesses and numerous service providers.

Margareten also provides very good transport connections. With the new Vienna Central Station right on your doorstep and easy access to Austria's two main motorways, Margareten is superbly connected. Vienna Airport is only a 20 minute drive. And a sophisticated public transport network ensures that from anywhere in the district, you never have to walk more than 300 metres to the nearest bus, tram or underground station.
